Their bakery offers carefully crafted, unique sweets. However, they are naturally most famous for their cupcakes. At $3.25-3.50 per cupcake or $24 per dozen mini cupcakes, these little treats are worth their weight in gold. The shop also offers gluten-free flavors priced at $3.45 each. Their cupcake menu includes vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, chocolate raspberry, vanilla caramel, and the less unexpected flavors of black and white, creme brûlée, cookie dough, and sweet and salty.

It is these cupcakes that brought Jones Bros. Cupcakes to Food Network's Cupcake Wars. Running for nine seasons so far, Bill Jones appeared in season 2 episode 10, entitled "Valentine's Day". In addition to the two judges Florian Bellanger and Candace Nelson, Fabio joined the cast as the guest judge. The show was hosted by Justin Willman. As usual, besides Jones Bros. Cupcakes, there was a total of four contestants. Frosted Betty from Houston, Texas was one bake shop, followed by Double D Cupcakes of Lancaster, CA. Sugar From the Heart Bakeshop of Lakewood, CA completed the line up. The prize was to have the winning cupcake featured at a romantic wine tasting event, becomming a Omaha Cupcake Wars Winner / Contestant.

Following the show format, contestants went through three rounds of competition. They were judged on features such as creativity, presentation and flavor. Each round saw a contestant drop out. Finally, Bill Jones presented the winning recipe. Candace Nelson reportedly remarked that he had created an edible Valentine. While you'll have to watch the show to see just what this mysterious winning flavor was, you can find four delectable recipes on the Food Network website.

The first cupcake recipe is a surprising mix of flavors for a baked treat. Apples, spices, walnuts, and blue cheese are the primary flavors. You can bet the finished product will be unforgettable and extraordinary. The second recipe is for Coconut Orange Chardonnay Cupcakes. Chocolate cupcakes with Chocolate Mascarpone filling and Zinfandel buttercream is recipe number three, adding another nod to the wine tasting theme. Finally, the fourth recipe is for cupcakes with pineapple filling and strawberry and goat cheese whipped cream.
